How to make

This week, I am going to tell you how to put turn ups on a pair of trousers you are making.

This week, I am going to tell you how to put turn ups on a pair of trousers you are making.

  1. First of all ,you need to establish the length, you would like your trousers to be.
  2. Add on 10cm to length .
  3. Overlock or neaten the hem.
  4. Measure 6 cm ,turn the 6cm up on the inside of the trousers and press. stitch in place.
  5. You will now have a double thickness of 6cm, next measure 4cm and turn up onto the right side. Press with lots of steam. Remember, the iron is the sewers best friend!

Simple and quick. You now have a lovely neatly pressed turn up. You could hand stitch a couple of stitches at the side seams just to keep in place. You are now definitely in Julie esque style!!!

Thank you so much. Where do you live? there might be one somewhere near? I know a lot of other towns where you can buy fabric .

Your blog turned up on Zite! I was really pleased to find it and know that the Sewing Bee has given the impetus to start this. I thought the post on buying fabric in particular was great... now if only there were any markets near me! Keep it up and congratulations!
